    My first time...

This is a new one....my first time ever getting pulled over since I got my license....
    Speeding, at 12:30AM, doing 85 in a 60 zone (roughly 55 in a 40 zone for you Americans)....and now I've gotta pay a fucking $100+ fine....

But, I did the crime, it's only right to pay the price.... On that same hand, though, do you think I could get off by the fact that I was not driving a 2005 Corolla, but rather a 2004? ;-)

I'm fuckin pissed off that I get pulled over for speeding as a 'safety' thing....but while he's sitting there writing up the ticket, I see a motorcycle rider and his buddy in an integra, driving side by side, looking at eachother, and having a conversation while they drive and hold everybody behind them up. Which is more dangerous to you?

Argh. And I thought I was fucked before

$100 fine isnt that bad... i have about $700 im gonna have to pay (thats including the extra fines for missing court dates and stuff though)

i suggest that until u can afford a radar detector, u just keep ur eyes open and learn to spot cops before they spot u.

radar detectors are illegal north of the border

I felt really stupid, because I knew that spot was there; I've seen cops there before....gah.

The fine is no big deal. Just make sure your insurance company doesn't find out. That's when the ticket really gets expensive. A $100 ticket can increase your insurance rates by $500 per year for three years. Suddenly a $100 ticket really costs $1600.

you know; when you're already paying well over 8000 a year, an extra 500 doesn't sound nearly as frightening....

    ugh. I hate cars.

Damn, that sucks! I have an old toyota pickup that i am insured on, liability only, so its like 600 a year. And then my mom is on my corolla with full coverage, and its like 600 a year for her too, lol. We priced me on the corolla and it was like 2500 a year(thats when i was 16, now im 18, so its still the same untill im outa school they it will go up, how gay!!!), and then our insurance person just said to insure me on another car instead and that if i wreched/damaged the corolla they would have to cover it but after that if i kept driving it I would have to be rated on it.
