My first time experience with FedEx!

So I got recieved a DOA refrubished tv from eCost.com. Yeah, I know this is the last time I will buy a no name TV.. a AKAI. Anyways, eCost said to return it with a RA# and I have to ship this to there warehouse in Memphis, TN by 10 days starting on 4/25 and it needs to be insured.

I search UPS, FedEx, and DHL. DHL was the cheapest but the drop-off sites were these no name packing mom and pop shops and they were kinda far and I was not trusting them to drop-off a $310 TV for me. UPS cost like $5 or $6 more and I have used UPS before and never had a problem. FedEx, I never used and it was a RA return so naturally I would not go for the most expensive option, so FedEx it was.

I had to sign up for the FedEx account thingy and that damn Ship Manager was so hard to use. In fact, I still don't know if I got charged twice because I had to cancel my first tracking number. Apparently, with this FedEx system you can print out as many tracking numbers for many packages and they don't charge you until you give it to a drop-off place, I think that's how it goes. My credit card have 2 temp charges from Federal Express for $10.00 each so who knows....

Another confusing and stupid thing was the the FedEx shipping option. There was an option for FedEx 2 day delivery for like $40 which would get it delivered on 4/30 and it said Ground service would also get it delivered on 4/30 for $16. I'm was like hmmmm...... then I realized the 2 day service would probably guarantee that it be there on 4/30 whereas the Ground would get there 1-5 days.

Anyways, I managed to ship it out on 4/26 and it was scheduled to be delievered on 4/30 or this past Monday. I started tracking the package and it arrived in Memphis, TN on 4/27 or Friday night. Everything was going fine until 4/28 or Saturday when the package mysteriously left the destination of Memphis, TN and arrived in St. Louis, MO. So I'm thinking, hmmm probably a mistake and it would turn around by 4/30. But NOPE!!!! It left St. Louis, MO on the scheduled delivery date of 4/30 and guess where it went! It arrived today 5/1 in Champaign, IL and it just left Champaign, IL at 8:48 AM this morning going to god knows where!!?!?!?

By this time I should be freaking out, but I insured this package so if it gets lost I should get my $309 back I guess. I mean by sending this broken TV back, I'm suppose to get $ back from eCost.com. So it makes no difference to me if my money comes from eCost.com or FedEx.

I called FedEx and I promptly got in touch with a rep. She looks at my tracking number and she saids wow that's really weird and she paused for a while and said and I quote, "I don't know what to say, because I never seen anything like this before hopefully it is a sorting error but give it 24 hours and we will start to open a trace and start a claim for you." LOL. So, I'm guessing she was trying to get rid of me cuz she didn't know what to say but she was nice.....just as clueless as I was about what's going on.

My only concern right now is if the package will get back to Memphis, TN by 5/05 because then it will be the 10th day for the RA. Otherwise, I will miss the deadline and they will probably refuse my shipment and I will be stuck with a broken TV and out of $310. I hope this package gets lost or gets blown up.

Anyways, the tracking # from Fedex is:
    732511510000043

Hehe..it sat in IL for two days without moving.

Just an error....thats why they give out the tracking numbers, so they can be corrected if they mess up
