my distributor assembly went downward spiral

damn it... it hate this car... two weeks ago i had my clutch master replaced, then i had my cluth dis and cover replaced, then yesterday, my distributor just fucked up so bad...

i don't want to have my distributor completely replaced, the igniter and pick up coil were damaged, is there anything i could do aside from a complete distributor replacement?

    Details....

What happened? What's wrong with it? How do you know it's bad? What exactly is bad? The whole distributor doesn't go bad unless the distributor shaft bearing craps out, then you have to replace the whole unit. Otherwise, most of the trinkets inside are replaceable.
