My Corolla is gone and make way for STi

Been driving my new STi for about a month now and posting at:

    http://www.clubwrx.net/forums/

Great posts and website for all Subaru info. All I can say is that the Corolla was fun to drive with the setup that I had, but the STi rocks!!! It's a pretty powerful machine and got me shaken up quite a few times after racing it. I haven't done any mods yet because my payments has been pretty high. Can't save enough yet until I pay next quarters tuition. Thank goodness I moved back with my parents. My dad likes to work on cars so he was surprised that I got the STi. He told me that when he has some time, he'll work with me on my car. I'm glad he supports me and sharing time on something we both like. I got to get the exhaust changed out though and downpipe upgrade.

It's actually quite fast without any mods to it. The factory equipped parts do just fine with producing power. I got the aspen white one to match the color of the Corolla (superwhite) I once had. I never had a turbo charged car before and this one kicks ass. It came with a redline buzzer which surprised me when I raced it. At first, I was like, uh-oh what happened? Then I realized it when I look at my gauge. Im running on 91 octane but the tech there told me if possible, use 93 octane or higher if available. Damn. Put some airplane fuel there!! There is too much to say, but it's definitely a car to look into as your next street machine.

Congrats on the new car. How much did you sell your Corolla for and did you part it out?

They gave me a trade in value of around $8000. My car was in great condition though with all the power accessories and tint. It should have been higher for what it's worth. I know the actual trade in is much higher. Why did they still gave me such a low value? I didn't really care with all their mumble jumbo, because all I wanted was to drive home in the STi. I took a week vacation the first day I got it so I can take it out for a test drive.

Let me tell you this. This car attracts a lot of attention. It feels like a bigger car, but I love it. I don't have to worry about it getting stolen because of good security system + I got the second spot in my parent's garage whose home is also very well secured in a great location. My work is a professional atmosphere and is gated along with a gate guard. Unless some animal or other act of nature does something to it, I'm happy with everything. Can't get any better now...well, graduating with a BA in the future.

And that was with the SC ? Wtf... Private party BB value I think is around 11K and that's at like 20K "I think". And that is also with no extra parts.

I had a few things on there like the TRD strut bar, exhaust, some cap for the oil and radiator, and of course the supercharger. That's why I was thinking how come they gave me such a low value. I probably got jacked on the price, but I'm very satisfied with the car I have now. In a way, it's worth getting it.

I use to have an intake on, but I took that off when I had the supercharger put on. This car is bone stock now and it's quite impressive. I would suggest to those of you looking for another car, try to see if you qualify for the Imprezza STi or perhaps an older model. It has a steep price on it, but driving it around makes you feel good. At first I was thinking about the Evolution, but people were saying that Mitsubishi is going under and how they're not as good as they should be. Evo's got a nice style that has good performance features, but I went all out. The exhaust is definitely getting changed out for sure. I've never seen it shoot fire out, except from the movies. We'll see....

Good choice on the STi, car is real quick! Understeers a bit too much for my liking, but man what a ride. Hope you are having fun with it.

    Another WRX ower also

I had my black 03 Corolla totalled in an accident. I loved that car because it was my first car that I had bought, but I was lucky enough to come across a 04 WRX and I love it. It was a blessing in diguise and so fun to drive. The only thing that I don't like about the car is the serious turbo lag, but that can be minimized with a blow off valve and other modifications. I am still on this board because I love corollas so I check up on them from time to time. Have fun with your STI.
