yeah... the dinky intercooler is off a jdm mitsu van. hoping to replace it with a bigger one soon... something like this:

    Core Size: 9 x 18 x 2"
    Inlets: 2"
    Overall size: 10 x 25 x 2"

btw i was thinking of installing a custom intercooled supercharger on a 98 1zz. using something like a m45 from a MB kompressor. i measured it it would just fit if i remove the washer fluid tank and reverse the charger rotation.:)

Actually as long as that small intercooler is efficient you should keep it. Big ones that take up the whole frontend look good, but then you're blocking airflow to the radiator. Take Supra owners for example. Almost all who do any kind of roadracing use the stock sidemount to keep engine temps down.

Nevermind. I didnt look at your frontend pics, just scrolled right to the eyecatching GZE shot. Looks like you've got plenty of room for that bigger intercooler w/o taking up the whole bumper.
