shift weight to the back of the car. you're loading up the front wheels and as a result there's nothing keeping the back end on the ground.

My Back End keeps wanting to come loose??

When Im cornering hard, the back end of my car feels like its going to slide or almost like its giving in to the out side of the corner. I'm wondering could it be because of my suspention set up?

2001 Corolla
Tokico Struts less than 10k miles
Drop Zone spring
and a strut bar up front.

What can i do to make the back end stick better?

Tires are almost brand new. Thy are really good too. Yokohama TVR's or TRV's or something like that. I thought at first it was the tires too but... maybe it is.

I like the idea about weight. I am 260 Pounds with nothing in the back/

sorry, but not to knock your springs; but you should change out your springs to H&R's or Eibachs
vs. your drop zone springs. From the info I gathered on these forums, I found whiteline makes a rear swaybar for our cars
and it was actually reccomended by some to just replace the rear swaybar and not the front, since the front is already 22mm.
They actually don't make much suspension components for our cars, whick sucks. But yeah, make do with what you got, try to distribute your weight to the back of your car starting with your battery and you could also mess around with your camber and tire psi.

isnt that a good thing though? youre oversteering vs understeering which is good if you can control it. i think you'd rather have it this way than to have your front end lose traction and slide instead straight into a wall or whatever is in front of you. but yea you'd want to transfer some weight in the back and install a stiffer front bar because it increases understeer. which is what you want if your rear end slides out too much

and for tires if you want grip you need the yokohama A032Rs :)

Not if you're losing traction on the rear anytime.
Just think of couple reasons about this issue.
1) it's drop zone, well known bad spring
2) rear tires bad
3) you got some really heavy stuff at the back, e.g. audio setup
4) it's drop zone
5) Rear spring rate is way too stronger than the front causing all the load transfer back to front wheels.
6) rear sway bar too hard/ front too soft
7) tire pressure toooooo low/high at the back.
8) it's drop zone

Ive had the Drop Zones for as long as Ive had the car, it really only got bad when i put the tokico struts on with them... But maybe now that i have a stiffer strut, that makes the springs worse or performe to their true effect.. If that makes sense.

And maybe igorien2k is right and i just need to learn how to control it.

Igorien - why are you recommending he buy R compounds? Talk about overkill for a street driven mostly stock corolla.

And yes, my 1st step would be to get rid of the Dropzones. I'd recommend some B&G springs. They'd be perfect teamed with Tokico's.

as far as the tires you have.... do you mean Toyo Proxes TPT? because those are touring tires that don't have the best grip. Toyo Proxes 4's would be much better. Also, do you have the same tires front and rear? because if you're front tires are alot stickier than the rears then that would explain your rearend breaking loose.

add some camber to the equation.

i have BFG exentia GT 'S and theyre great in water and dry , they give me excelent traction in the curves , but i know what this guy is talking about . i have a stock suspension , and when entering a long apex'ed j curve , the same happens to me , its not a violent oversteer , but not enough to countersteer. my tire pressure was low about 3 psi. and i know i need an alignment , on all 4-wheels . i agree with tamago , add some camber to your rear tires , check your tire pressure . the only other thing i can conclude is sidewall rollunder or simply loss of traction due to wieght distribution.

i thought the smiley face implied overkill. i'm running azenis street-driven and theyre not wearing fast at all. its all how you drive and set your alignment. i have a friend who is running A032Rs street-driven. they last a good 10k of hard driving
