a tip won't change the sound of your exhaust at all. that's strictly for looks. you have to change the muffler to get different sound from it. Plenty of cheap universal flow-through mufflers can be found on ebay... but cheap = cheap... they're probably going to sound lousy.

i had an "apex" muffler on my subaru that i bought off ebay, cheap rip off of "apex'i" but it still sounded nasty, i guess it depends on what type of car you have...cant beat a 2.5L 165hp motor to produce a nice burly race noise

Unless you have a V8, tips won't change sound. I know the Marauder tips will change the tone VERY slightly if added on a Crown Vic... And those run about $100 or so each!

BTW whats the obsession with the exhaust noise? Just by a cheap ebay muffler. Ill save you the hassle, here

I took out the original muffler way back and have the exhaust shop install one of these. http://store.summitracing.com/large...art=PSM-95-9904

you can get it at www.summitracing.com for $40.00 plus shipping.

Sounds good by itself, nothing like cheap fart cans.
