    Mounting Fog Lights

I picked up a pair of Yellow Projector FogLights today, and I'm trying to figure out how to mount them. I am going to put them in the lower part of the air dam, as far out to the sides as possible. The fog lights barely fit in this space, although the mounting brackets that came with them do fit. Due to the tightness of the space, it would be very difficult to install the mounting brackets (and I would like to avoid drilling holes in my bumper). I was considering maybe using some 3M double sided adhesive instead. Anyone know if the adhesive will withstand the test of time?

If it works, it would save me a lot of trouble!

i doubt the tape will work, just do your best to hide the screw holes.

Most likely the heat will cause the failure of the adhesive. Also they would be very easy to steal. Are you going to place them where the factory lights go? I would try to fabricate some brackets that bolt behind the bumper and then bolt the lights to them. The bumper being flexible urethane is not that strong. Sounds like a some work but you will be satisfied when it's all done!

I'm putting them in the lower air dam area.. just inside of where the stock fog lights are. I'm thinking about going ahead and drilling holes, and using nuts and bolts to hold the brackets for them down. I will probably put the brackets on the bottom.

I had some fog lights in the area that your talking about, it was a tight fit height wise so the lights were pretty close to the plastic. I later took them off because for some reason they stoped working, i still havnt figured out why, but anyway. the lights got hot enough that they left ripples in the plastic because they started to melt it. Im just trying to warn you. You probably dont have the same lights and i dont know if they would get as hot as the ones i had, but if there too close they could leave much worse marks then 2 screw holes would.

I had mine mounted in the 'upper outer'(if you get what i mean) sections of the air dam. Im thinking maby you could put the brackets on top of the lights, that way the screws would leave holes on the downward facing part of the air dam and would only be noticeable if you were on the ground looking up into the air dam.

    Just my 2 cents
