also my car is an 01 with only 67k miles on it. The dealer said if we can prove we took care of the engine then he may be able to get toyota to cover it. Has anyone else had this problem>

to me its a good place . I have spent over 3500 with them. My 01 died with almost 69k on it and it was under warrenty but I went with custom work instead.

74k on mine and I just replaced all my bearings and polished my rod journals.

There are others. Too many for them not to address the issue in my opinion.
But my Corolla was not bought new so I can't say too much. :shrugs: Oh well. $75 and I'm on the road again.

Yeah. But I looked over real quick and just looked again. I'd expect it to be a good bit more for a broken rod. But you would also have to disassemble you're engine to get the rod out and new one in. I was able to keep it together minus the oil pan, bearings, and bearing caps.

It's an awesome place. The people there are friendly and very helpfull. I've called them a few times to ask Q's about my turbo setup as well as bought several 100 $$$'s in parts.
