Maybe found way to connect ipod

I found this item online to connect an ipod to the factory stereo system.

Looks like it uses a connector on the factory stereo that normally is used for a cd changer. I have the 4 speaker, AM/FM/Cassette/CD stereo without a changer.

Will this work in a 2003/04 Corolla?? Does anyone know if we have this connector??

I would say probably not, because it states it wont work with a Matrix. They probably just forgot to put Corolla. Plus there is no CD changer button, so how would u switch to the input.

The stock head unit does have an unused 12 pin connector at the back, and they do sell changers for the Corolla, so it just might work.

I thought the ones it listed have the nav system, so that is why it doesn't work.

Anyways, I don't know how the changer works with the stock unit, but i thought it was an add-in option no matter which radio you got.

if only they had aux in either on the back or front that would be great. I tried the itrip and it sucks ass for my area. sound great if you stay in one spot but here there is a radio station at every frequency making you change it every 5 miles. I want to go back to stock but i am proubly stuck with aftermarket stereo for now.

yup a FM modulator should work.... or if you have the stock tape deck just buy one of those serial to tape deck converter things. the thing u use to hook up ur cd player to a tape deck.. u can just plug one end into ur IPOD headphone jack and pop in the tape. and BAM should work =p heh

The itrip is an FM modulator. The best one out for the Ipod. It can tune to any station. But as my previous post stated Theres too many stations around here. I wish i would have a tape deck in my car with the 6 speaker but the stearo cant come that way unfortunetley

If you're using it for your iPod...

    http://icelink.densionusa.com/

It even lets you use the controls (next/previous and fast-forward/rewind) on the deck instead of on the ipod.
