haha - burn that clutch brutha!

ive smoked mine already once ... but it was from pure torque no funny stuff... had to down my boost a little until i get used to driving on this stock clutch and then i'll put my good one on... (no sense in smokin through a $400 clutch setup relearning 5spd when you can just burn up a nice $120 version and have piece of mind)

Ok. I thing I did something very stupid. Last week I was driving my moms 5-speed 91 camry. I drove it home and up the hill/street that I live on. When I turned on the hill I kinda shifted into 3rd instead of into 1st which I should have. The thing is the engine was revving up but the car wasnt going anywhere. It did that for a long time then I shifted into 1st and the car finally went up. Thing is I got this burning smell kinda like burnt rubber although I know it wasnt the tires because the car wasnt going anywhere. Could I have dont some very serious damage to the clutch or something. Mom had been using her car to drive to work for the past week so I guess nothing it damaged. That smell (which kinda smelled ick.... lol...) lasted for about 3 hours or so.

how much of the clutch is left?
if the engagement point isn't all the way at the top of the pedal travel then you're probably ok
