Max Sec Width Tires on stock rims

    Hi All,

I am doing some research on new tires for my 04 LE. I would like to go with BFGoodrich Traction T/A H tires. :D

I have noticed that the Section Width of the stock tires (195/65R15) is 7.9 inches.

I figured that I could go a little wider than that; so I looked at the stock tires of the 05 XRS (195/55R16) and it s also 7.9 inches.

I was wondering if someone has gone with tires that have a wider section width than 7.9 and if you have had any problems (rubbing, etc).

Your help is greatly appreciate it.

I would like to go with a 205/60R15 (section width = 8.2 inches) or with 215/60R15 (section width = 8.7 inches)
