    mandrel bent vs crush bent

I want to get an exhaust setup for performance when i get my XRS. I know mandrel bent systems are better but I wanted to know how much better? I just wanted to know how much worse is the crush bent than the mandrel bent? Here on Oahu, there are no exhaust shops that can mandrel bend pipes so the only way to have a mandrel bent setups is to buy the mandrel bends from like jcwhitney and have them weld it on, or buy a bolt on.

On a low output, small displacement engine like ours, you're probably only talking about fractions of a horsepower unless they are doing 90 degree bends or something similar. If it's something that's really bothering you try going for a slightly larger pipe size to help offset the space lost from crushing. Personally I wouldn't worry about it.

i heard its not so much the space lost due to the srushing, but rather the turbulance it creates in the pipe... but then again i've also heard that it only really is fractions of a HP and to not really worry about it. Basically if ur willing to spend then money then do it...but honestly, oddfish hasnt steered us wrong in the past and you'd probably be better off saving that money you saved by getting crush bends and putting it towards another power adder.
