4/7a-fe's have a MAP sensor (that is mounted on the firewall) and an air temp sensor (roundish plug on the intake tube)

Should be on the intake..it's a squarish thing that plugs into a round hole, from what I understand. I don't have one, but my ELP CAI had a mount for it.. :p

i have a '96 DX and i cant seem to find it. its not on the pipe. i have a cold air intake.
if its plug into a hole then its the IAT sensor, but not the MAF sensor.
can someone post a pic of where its located?

Ah..I know 2000+ have a MAF sensor, but 98-99 don't -- I have an IAT. Are you sure the 7afe has one?

    I don't know much/anything about the earlier engines..and limited knowledge on mine..sorry :(

Well, that would explain it then..lol

Do you think actually plugging the IAT sensor into my intake will make any difference? I have the wrong intake for my year, and haven't bothered to drill and mount it yet..might do that today.

LOL guess thats the end of that.
yeah it would make a difference if you plug it in. it measures the air flow and shit.
but if you dont really want to drill a hole, then go to radioshack and get 1k ohm resistor and plug it in the IAT sensor. take the tip off first.
