    M3 Power Mirrors

Let me just say this: Ebay - buyer beware!

Got my M3 mirrors today. $1 and change...with $29 through the USPS(?), idiots coulda saved some money through UPS. Not for the rice points, but because the manual mirrors like to adjust themselves and I did get the ones with the LED lights since the idiots out here don't know what a turn signal is - this should keep them busy while I or my wife get the hell away from them. So I ordered black, but got the "carbon fibre" look. I planned on painting them anyway, probably going to spring for color match.

It's my understanding that all the wiring is there waiting in the door, correct? I know the remote harness is stusck behind the coin holder on the driver side vent bezel. How much should the remote cost?

Goin' in for warranty work tomorrow (struts, alt, bushings, locks, whatever I bitch about). I'll find out then. I think the guys in the parts department are sleeping...

$120 for a switch? The remote can't be that much!

I wired them up - Idiots sent me blue lights instead of AMBER! Anybody know how to crack them open without breaking anything? Would lens paint work and look halfway decent?

cool, hope u take some pics n post them....personally, im not too much of a fan of the m3 mirrors on corolla's but in your situation where the stock mirrors move by themselves, then yea, it only makes sense, hehe....i still have the oem black mirrors on my gold? colored rolla but i like how the two colors looks together...

The M3 mirrors are smaller than the corolla mirrors, but at least I can move them to see when I change lanes :D . I like black. I think I'll just do black (not metallic) while I try to fix the oems.

    "I'm a DUMBASS! I didn't play with it enough!!!"

To all you people that had/have trouble with the light wiring - black to ground, and then white is white and the colored wire is whatever other color. If you put an on/on flasher or on-off-on switch you can alternate.

White and blue. I can use the white legally and I can hook the blue up to the entry light so I can find my car in the sea of cookiecutter imports at outdoor concerts when it's dark and, well, you know... ;)

EDIT - Here is what the seller sent:

thank you for write to us, i would like to help you!
sorry we don't have any mirror installation and all i know is how to connect the LED wires
here it's blue wire connect to + packing lamp
white wire connect to + singl lamp
