umm...3 to 5 inches would be a bit much.
The Tein S-techs offer a good drop and a decent ride for the 03 to 05 corollas, even on stock struts.
I had a 4 inch drop on my 03 corolla s...I sacrificed the comfort and function for style. I used ground controls on koni yellow's to enable the drop. I dunno how well the Tein dampeners ride? But all in all the Tein S Techs should suffice. The backs sits right on the tires and the front has about 1 finger gap between the fender and the tires. There will be no clearance problems with your stock rims although if you run the wrong offset for your 17"s you may rub the inner linner a little on dips and bumps in the road, is what I encountered when I used the stock 17" matrix xrs wheels.

ok im looking at buying Tein S-tech for about a 2.3-2.4" drop on the car so that it is stylish but not to damn bumpy. The main question is if the part actually lasts for a long time or wears out quickly. Anybody had any bad experiences with these???

If you want a drop that's 4-5", springs aren't going to give it to you. You should just buy some coilovers.

Any Tein spring (S-Tech or H-Tech) is going to be a quality product. You shouldn't have any problems with them. Just get a quality damper like KYB, Tokico or Koni.
