If the engine is burning alot of oil you will go through catalytic converters an O2 sensors fairly quickly

shouldve been more clear. I changed the O2 sensors to get rid of the P0420...and it didnt. so is the next step to replace the cat? i bought 10w-30 tonight. normally use 5w-30. my mechanic friend recommend that. if it doesnt work ill try some 10-40.

if you remember i have black shit coming out my exhaust? perhaps that burning oil as i thought before?

all I can suggest is fill up the oil every 400 miles or so and check the gas :D

the gas? I remembered before my water pump and the seals were changed, i used to burn oil around 1/4 of the dipstick before change oil. so far, after the water pump and timing belt change, i have not notice any significant oil sipping.

Changing your cat will get rid of the code, but you'll still be burning oil. It's time for new rings.

try using German Castrol Syntec 0w30 first (says Made in Germany on the back).... it runs heavy for a 30-weight oil, almost a 40 weight.
