Lotus Espirit

espirit, less powerful model was n/a. I think. Then later on came the twin turbo. both I thought were v8's. Ive seen one in person, awesome cars. Before the 2zz-ge, I think the elise and exiges were using rover k motors.

Yeah that is right. Espirit had a V8 engine with 350 HP. Sounds very awesome so I was curious as to which company builds that engine.

Lotus Espirit

The Lotus Espirit was a model Lotus was selling in NA. I understand that Lotus uses engines from other companies just like the 2ZZ GE Toyota engine being used in the Elise. What company built the engine for the Espirit??

didnt the earlier ESPRIT use a 4 banger?

yep turbo 4 before 98. but just a tiny bit slower
