    The block is the same but I believe that Lotus tuned their own headers, exhaust, ect. Aside from that, there are absolutely NO similarities between that and any toyota product.

    nope...that is the same engine in the XRS (corolla, matrix) and Celica GT-S. The only differences are the intake, exhaust and fuel map. All of the internals are the same, plus the 6 speed tranny is the same as the toyota cars.

    Ya its interesting to see the power toyota can make, but ive known about it for awhile. Its still amazing though.

    and car and driver said the esprit v8 might also be powered by toyota's compact v8. if u look at a tundra's v8, it looks pretty compact for a v8, yet makes a lot of torque
