    Lightbulb in Shift Indicator

Does anybody know what kind of bulb is in the shift indicator? Where it reads PARK, REVERSE, NEUTRAL, etc.......mine is burned out and was wondering what kind to get. How hard is it to switch out? Thanks for any help.

I can't think of the part number on the bulb right now, but it should be those small ones just like the one on your parking lights.
*EDIT* The bulb number is 194

Fastrolla and Vash.......you were both incorrect!! The correct answer is bulb 74. And talking about a pain in the ass to get to - I had to pull off the glove compartment, knee bolster panel, radio, instrument panel, rear console and finally front console. Once I found out it was the wrong bulb I had to drive to the auto parts store with all the guts hanging out. Good times. Anyways, now we know.

sorry about putting you in so much pain for just that bulb man. Seems alot of work for just one bulbe though. There could have been an easier way to get to it, but who care you got it fixed. And ya I guess we do know now :)

shingle_man is correct. My car is a 00 and I have actually replaced that bulb, and it is a 74. I couldn't seem to twist the socket out, so I just broke it off with pliers and crammed the replacement back up in there. Anyway, I used a blue LED and it actually lights up very bright.

To get at the bulb all you have to do is remove the arm rest/console. You can reach in and feel the part once you get that piece off. I tried the other guy's method (long time ago) only to find out that you only need to take off the arm rest/console (two bolts).
