    License plate search

    How can I find out someones name and address by their license plate number? I have found bunches of programs, but some are bs and all are pay sites. Is there a free service out there? My friends car was jacked and we have the license plate number of a car we are almost certain was involved. Any help would be appreciated. thx.

    hrm.

    free, no. however, i'd have gotten to the police with that information instead of going through some vigilante justice. it looks better on YOUR record instead of finding them and doing something foolish.
