    Leaving car on third gear

well, i was wondering, is it ok to have my overdrive button off most of the time and just drive with the third gear. i like the pull better on third than on the fourth gear overdrive. its an automatic 99 le.

Yeah, it's fine, but don't keep the motor at high RPM's all the time. Oh, and watch your mileage drop. LOL

while you might like the pull, as mentioned, your fuel economy will drop considerably. O/D is a cruise gear - it's not meant to pull, it's meant to conserve gas.

He means driving with it off all the time, not racing occasionally.
