    Know nothing, need help please

Please read the whole post before judging me. So I have an 03 corolla S, on Tein S Techs. Chose the s techs because they are a little more comfortable ride, but can still be made capable for handling. I am not looking to race through the canyons and mountains, but i still would like it to handle better than stock. I am keeping the s techs, and I need to get the other suspension upgrades, but not sure where to start. I've heard struts/shocks/dampeners. Again, as the title says, I really don't know anything specific about suspension, but want to learn. Any HELP would be greatly appreciated. Just keep in mind, I bought a corolla, i'm not expecting to keep up with the m3's, mini coops, etc.

For hard driving, like touge, I would've gone with a full coilover suspension, but you can make do with what you have. It's a good thing you chose the more aggressive S-tech's instead of the H-tech's. I suggest you pair the springs you have with Tokico's. They deliver more of a harsher ride, but will compliment the springs with the proper dampening you'll need for canyon runs. Next, you should get some sway bars, front and rear. Hotchkis makes a complete set as well as Whiteline. That should pretty much be enough for you unless you want to go full out if you're a hardcore touge enthusiast. You can always get some Ultra Racing braces to stiffen up chassis even more. And if even more than that, you can go with a full roll cage and floor bar. A 4 or 5 point racing harness will help you stay in your seat too. :D Hope this helps.

    btw, welcome to TRDforums. :)

on an 03 S, not much more you can do other than getting better performing tires and getting some sway bars. as rollatuner said, struts are nice to have too but i'm not familiar with 03+ as far as what is available. strut bars i dont think you need since i doubt you'll be going fast enough around corners to really see much difference.

Anyway, on a corolla, slightly lowered and good tires is about as much as you can do for better handling. I had a lot of fun with mine while I had it. feel free to get a roll cage if you think you'll roll the car. other than that, have fun.

Pretty true. Unless you're serious about competitive driving, good tires and lowering is good enough.

Wow, I didn't expect to get this much help this fast, you guys are great! I like the sound of the Tokico HP Coilovers with the Hotchkis sway bars. Not to mention, it seems a bit cheaper than i expected. :woot:

Well, though i'm not serious about competetive driving, I do want more than just good tire set up :noidea: I like driving, and I do alot of it

But the roll cage is definetely not necessary  Again, this is a corolla we're talking about, I can admit that atleast

I thought I was set with my coilover sleeves, KYB's, and an ebay intake. Now I'm running a full CAI/H/E, Ksports, 5 point harness, and some crazy future chassis bars and sway bars.
