    Just to show u guys...

...this is my latest project at school. im helping this kid build is 96 240sx...we swapped out the ka24 for a JDM sr20de non turbo and then bolted up a t70...yea, this turbo is fucking huge...we are gonna have to relocate the master cylindar because the turbo rubs against it. and we also have to move the power steering resivior because that to is in the way...this is going to be the kids drift car so he only going for about 300whp...enough with words, heres some pics, thier not that great because they were taking with my cell phone in bad lighting in the shop at school, i'll get some real pics with my digi cam hopefully tommorow

If it's only going to be a drift car, you don't need that much power.

...huge numbers of power in a drift car is pointless, because more power to the ground = more difficult to control rear wheel spin while drifting.

    A drift car......... what a shame.
A properly built 240 would be a good car for a roadcourse.

wow only 5lbs on a built motor with a huge freakin turbo. what a shame. i bet that thing spools pretty slow though at 5lbs it wont make boost till top end.

why only 5lbs with a built motor!?if i were the owner i would be pushing atleast 15psi because big turbo like that needs more psi for a faster spool.

he's still going to need a different turbo. Drifting is going to be hard enough w/o having a peaky turbo where hes going to need to rev the piss out of the motor to make power. Not to mention with a setup like that power is going to come on really sudden, like hitting an on/off switch:rolleyes:

yea, i agree with the majority...a big turbo like that making little boost is prolly gonna feel like starting in fifth gear, lol, no power til high revs...you kno what would be even more badass is if he had an NA +300hp sr20....

im jw....do they make superchargers for sr20s??

...and tell me why an amateur would want a 500hp car to use for drifting....sure the pros kno how to manuever and handle that 500hp but imo, 300hp is optimum for an amateur...
