Just picked up a new magnaflow cat

So ive had the stupid p0420 code on my rolla forever now and i already changed out the front o2 sensor so im trying the cat cuz i have to get my emissisons done b4 january and school starts so i got this its a magnaflow direct fit cat w/ resonator it looks really nice the welds seem good and its mosly made of stainless steel so should look decent for a while. but ill keep u guys posted on it if i have any fitment trouble just got to get some clamps to put this new one in cuz my old ones are shot and ill most likely break them when i try to take it off

magnaflow makes some nice exhaust system and if you still have a cel change out your catalytic converter i would of done that when i changed out the o2 sensor.

yah so DONT buy these stupid thing if doesnt fit on our exhaust. the rear fits the muffler but who cares because the front where you mount the downpipe to the cat doesn't fit. its the exact same size pipe as the one on there, its like 1 7/8 where as the the pipe is the same and thus doesnt fit. i tried cutting the pipe and squeezing the tube but still didnt fit so now im PISSED Off took me all day, and i ended up putt my stock exhaust on and now i have a fartcan rolla. and then to come to find out my brothers fucken vw brakes i just changed 3 months ago are grinding. wooohooo

Sounds like a typical day for all those trying to make modifying a corolla work. You can try really hard but the car itself will frustrate you beyond measure and constantly remind you of how shitty of a car it is until you either boost it or buy another car.

You know a clamp goes around that funnel area and if your having problems then see how much a muffler shop would put in on there usally cheap since you bought the equipment :)

They don't, which is why you don't try to put two pipes of the same size together. I made the same mistake when I bought a new muffler for my Tacoma...nothing the shop couldn't fix with a welder, though.
