just installed my TRD exhaust on my 03 rolla

well after 3 grueling weeks of eating nothing but top ramen i finally saved enough for a TRD exhaust. The instal was very easy it only took a friend and I 45 mins.but heres my general impression of the exhaust

    Pros:
    its quiet
got it for a good price
    its TRD :D
    its under warranty

    Cons:
Its too quiet:like u get ia nice grumble for an idle and up to 3k rpms but after that the sound of my intake takes over.
    Power Gains are minimal.
its kinda ugly the way the bell is and how the tubing snakes around
Finally the bell hang really low like i'm only on a hotckis drop but if u go over a curb u better slow down cuz u can scrape the bell like no other.

O well i'm still happy because i got it for a good price and i'm a major TRD fan but i heard some guy on the celica forums saying that you have to BREAK-IN this exhaust so maybe things will get better , but yeah just my 2 cents

    G,

after Break-In...it still sounds the same. The midpipe and header combo changed the sound for me.

Did you need an impact wrench or were you able to get the bolts off with just a regular one and a breaker bar?

Also, there are just two bolts holding the exhaust in, right?

yes on a trd exhaust i can vouch for a break in period. after a while your exhaust will get louder. just wait til your ecu resets itself.
