Just a question about a clutch.

Today when i was driving around (my car has been sitting for 5 days.) i noticed that my clutch pedal felt like there was like a bump. and when it did it a couple times the car would either jump into gear, or it would like hesitate.

i have called a couple friends at honda. i check my fluid and its fine. i check all the vacuum lines and there all connected. i am trying to find a honda dealership around here but with no luck.

my car is under warrenty till dec of 2005 so i am not too concered about it too much. just a lil wierd.

The gears grind for an instant when I downshift from 4th to 3rd. That is with the clutch to the floor. When I make the shift slowly it doesn't grind but quick shifts grind. I am assuming I will need a new clutch before I do some damage to the synchros and gears. What company makes a good aftermarket clutch? I am looking to turbocharge in the near future so I would like to get a heavy clutch before that. Thanks.

Sounds like your synchros are starting to go -- replacing the clutch probably won't fix it. Mine occasionally grinds (very, very briefly) on a fast shift from first to second, but not usually..

I have an ACT clutch (heavy duty pressure plate and organic disk), and I'm very happy with it. It hasn't overheated or slipped on me yet..
