No prob. One thing though, it's probably going to take up to 4-6 weeks to get them, because they have to be special ordered. And that's at any place you order them from. But you probably already know that.

are those coilovers good? I mean, are they competitive with tein, eibach, h&r, k&b?

the only one in that list in the same league is the tein, and only the tein ss dampers... its a full damper kit... much more than just springs...

So JIC coilovers are almost the same thing as tein? good to know that!

hmm...interesting. JIC is priced as much as the Tein SS. Are you stating that they are lower quality than the Tein SS, or are you stating that they are low quality altogether. Given that Tein SS don't come for my model, the JIC is the only choice I have for a top of the line performance suspension.

I checked out Horsepower Freaks and they have a pretty nice selection. I didn't know there were that many options for coilovers out there for our cars.

But spring rates are interchangable and upgradeable within a 4kg/mm range (about 450lbs/in) depending on the pre-valved dampener.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, but I guess I didn't write that. I have springs right now and although coilovers would be hot, I'd rather put any more money I have into go fast parts instead of additional suspension stuff. After I get some more power, then I probably will pick up a nice set of coils though.

EH...i'd still go with the "legs of the runner" first...

Well, I took a look at the Cusco and it seems more like a beginners coilover set vs. the others. It lacks the adjustability options that some of the others you have listed. And the KGM's I can't seem to find a website in English to get information about. Either how, the KGM's seem to cost 2k. Not looking to pay 2k for suspension. Also, they do not make the Tein SS for the AE101. And Tein does not list the Type Flex as being available for the AE101 either.

So the AE101 is basically stuck with the Jic FLTA-2, the Cusco Comp S and the HP Racing GEN 2 for a full coilover suspension. In which of the 3 the Jic are not as entry level as the other two. Unless you want to go through the hassle of trying to get the kGM's.

Ok, I found a distrubitor for the D2 Racing Coilovers. It looks like I will be going with these. They look awsome, and they run at a good price of around $1,080. SpeedStash.com has two left in stock, but I can't pick them up right now. So if anyone has the funds, you can pick up the D2's from them.

Power is useless without control, control is limited when you have off the shelves spring rates.. most everything, Tein S Tech, H&R springs, Eibach, has a spring rate of less than 3kg/mm (less than 175in/lbs).

Zero I - 2 Way height/preload adjustable

Honestly the KGM dosent have any official US distributor, but they are considered a very high end unit in Japan. You can have them imported through TopSecret 3 (bulletproof auto) for around 18k.. however they are sold in japan for as low as 14k.

I wouldn't consider the HP unit as high quality either, but while were on the subject one more brand to be mentioned is D2 or Ksport as known in japan. Official US distributor is Urbanimports http://urbanimport.com/

and again there are the Tein SS and flex which any Tein USA distributor would import for you and cover under warranty.

What kind of problems have people encountered with the JIC units?

I would go with Tein, but they don't make the SS for the AE101. None of those links have any information for the 93-97 AE101 Rolla. Couldn't find a catalog on bulletproof's website. The D2's look good. On D2's official website, they list it for the AE101, but I'm having a little trouble finding the US distributor. Price isn't bad on them either.

i know the kit is for Levin and trueno... but is it for the superstrut setup or the normal corolla setup...

and all the aftermarket support you have?
