i just installed my jdm headlights and there was an extra hole in the low beam area. does anyone else have that? what's it for?

do city lights come stock on the altis or something?

on most asian cars, but not here in US

City lights are spec'd on almost all prodcution autos outside the US and Canada (that's includes most European makes too). If you look closely on a Golf IV (in the highbeam area) you'll see a small wedge bulb. That's the city light. Primarily used as a parking light. The DOT in the US has chosen to light the directionals at 1/2 power.

ive heard that the city light module from the celica will fit the exact location of the jdm light if you want to add that feature.

will the rest of the bulbs fit? that way i can just get the whole harness. also, what color is the bulb supposed to be amber or white? i think amber will look like shit.

white (clear), but most wedge bulbs are such low wattage that they have a pronounced yellowish effect. If you like the hyperwhite look, you could get LED wedge bulbs. There are a few cars running around that have the LED wedge bulbs... I think they look tacky (the hyperwhite/blue/purple LED look), but everyone has an opinion...

dont u guys think that hole can create fog inside the headlights? what can i do to prevent the assemblies from fogging up?

i just put electrical tape over the holes. no fog yet.
