    Jasper Remanufactured Engines

Has anyone ever used a reman engine from Jasper? How does it hold up? My local mechanic told me that he put one of these in a car and the owner of that car has already put a 100k on the new engine and it still runs fine. Anyone know how good jasper remans are? I think mt mechanic is bluffing for business, so I'd really appreciate all help.

I've never even heard of Jasper before. I checked out their site. They keep emphasizing their remanufactured motors over rebuilt motors. Sounds like some serious markup profit on ordinary engines. Why can't you just find a normal used motor? Toyota motors generally are built tough already so you don't have to worry too much. Its no GM or Ford motor.
