Yeppers you can tell by the line right below the headlights where it was molded. but you can do the same thing if you don't mind cutting and pasting so to speak.

the cleanest way to do the coversion would be to swap out the headlights and the other parts that are needed.

i am thinking of doing that. i'm just wondering if the cut outs for the turn signals in the 02 corollas are the same size as the 00 corolls, or whether the front quarter panels would have to be swapped as well.

b/c if not i will soon be getting the 02 front bumper and headlights to throw on

dude, Krazykanuk don't do a cut and paste like me its just a waste of time, i regrete buying the damn 98 and 02 bumper to do a cut & paste. went u accidently smack your bumper on a corner or any spot that give just a little nug your bumper gonna get a major crack and ruin all your hard work. so DON'T DO IT!!! not worth the time, effort, money. but if your crazy like me and still wanna do it just tell me and i'll show you how to do it = )

Yes it is possible. I did it. I have a 2002 chevy prizm which looks a little like the 98-00 corolla and got front bumper, fender, corner lights, and headlights for a 2001 corolla. I also got a hood but never put it on because my prizm hood fit. You could see a lil difference in the lining of the hood meeting the bumper but not too noticeable. I'm planning on switching the hoods soon. I still have to paint my whole front end. But I am defiantely happy with it. I also don't know much about cars but I was able to do the front end swap by myself. It took a few hours. I also wonder if it would of been possible without getting the fenders and corner lights. I didn't care though cuz I got everything on ebay. Email me if you have any questions. streetvamp85@hotmail.com

You know, for a factory look you could just get a 2001 corolla. Now-a-days corollas don't go for much. I still love em though! hehe

just like any conversion, let's say, you wanted a sprinter conversion for a USDM ae102, you need to get a front cut of a jdm sprinter: fenders, hood, bumper and headlights... but i don't think there are jdm parts readily available there in the US...

i guess the junkyards there in the US might have a 2001 front cut, since you're bent on converting a 2000 to 2001 front, its possible...

i finally did it, i cut out half the 00 bumper then half the 01 bumper (kept the 00 top portion, kept the 01 bottom portion). then i zip tied half the 00 to half the 01 bumper and bondo'ed them in. first time turn out really bad because i didn't put enough time to fully sand down the bondo then i hit a damn parking wall and cracked my bumper so i had to redo it again... tooked me 2 weeks to strip the paint, primer, paint it. not to metion the damage i done to the bumper while striping it... finally got it looking "decent" then 2months later my brother in law rear ended me and bust open my bumper again!!! ARGH!!!!
best way to do a 98 to 01 is headlight/bumper swap cleanest and nicest way... or u can do what i did but instead of zip tieing and bondo'ing it just bring it to a body shop so they can creast the abs plastic together and make it like its OEM.
