    Bigsamy,

The 2ZZGE out of the Corolla/Matrix XRS and Celica GTS is a likely canidate for you car. As far as I know it's never been done but I'd be happy to do it for you. I'm located in Savannah, GA. Hit me up at drtweak@phoenixtuning.com

the best option would be to build up the 1zz. it is set up for lower compression and has the super charger. the 2zz is nice, but the compression keeps the motor limited in what it could do. if you want go wilder, do with a 3sgte. it would take a lot more work.

if you don't know how to change oil, i wouldn't do an engine swap for something with more power since it will take more work to maintain.

as suggested, the 2zzge would be a good choice since its a vvti too... just make sure the wiring harness and all other accessories is complete... try to get info on the specs of the matrix or celica gts to have compatibility...

if you wanna go old school... you could try some 4age series engines...

    the 2zz from XRS is vvtL-i :D
prolly be cheaper if u get another 1zz engine or rebuild it n get a trd supercharger.
