Engine is free flowing muffler any good for resonator back 2.25?

    is free flowing muffler any good for resonator back 2.25'?

    I was told by my mech that if i want to keep my free flowing type muffler, i rather have 2' rather than 2.25' resonator piping. I know u need backpressure for N/A, so I need some advice here.
