Interesting facts about Iraq......

This is an emal i was sent, i thought it was interesting so i posted it. For all my brothers in arms, Fallen comrades, God Bless....

This is freaky, interesting and scary all in one!

Read down to the very bottom, you don't want to miss this!

    VERY INTERESTING -

    1. The garden of Eden was in Iraq.

    2. Mesopotamia, which is now Iraq, was the cradle of civilization!

    3. Noah built the ark in Iraq.

    4. The Tower of Babel was in Iraq.

    5. Abraham was from Ur, which is in Southern Iraq!

    6. Isaac's wife Rebekah is from Nahor, which is in Iraq !

    7. Jacob met Rachel in Iraq.

    8. Jonah preached in Nineveh - which is in Iraq.

9 Assyria, which is in Iraq, conquered the ten tribes of Israel.

    10. Amos cried out in Iraq!

    11. Babylon, which is in Iraq, destroyed Jerusalem.

    12. Daniel was in the lion's den in Iraq!

    13. The three Hebrew children were in the fire in Iraq (Jesus had been in Iraq also as the fourth person in the fiery furnace!)

    14. Belshazzar, the King of Babylon saw the "writing on the wall" in Iraq.

    15. Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, carried the Jews captive into Iraq.

    16. Ezekiel preached in Iraq.

    17. The wise men were from Iraq.

    18. Peter preached in Iraq.

    19. The "Empire of Man" described in Revelation is called Babylon, which was a city in Iraq!

And you have probably seen this one. Israel is the nation most often mentioned in the Bible. But do you know which nation is second? It is Iraq! However, that is not the name that is used in the Bible. The names used in the Bible are Babylon, Land ofShinar, and Mesopotamia. The word Mesopotamia means between the two rivers, more exactly between the Tigris and ! Euphrates Rivers. The name Iraq, means country with deep roots.

Indeed Iraq is a country with deep roots and is a very significant country in the Bible.

No other nation, except Israel, has more history and prophecy associated with it than Iraq.

And also... This is something to think about! Since America is typically represented by an eagle. Saddam should have read up on his Muslim passages...

The following verse is from the Koran, (the Islamic Bible)

Koran (9:11) - For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace.

(Note the verse number!) Hmmmmmmm?! God Bless you all Amen !

well anyone who reads the Bible and looks at the little maps in the back could tell you all of that. The authors of the scriptures were all from that region...it's nothing surprising or alarming..or even a big deal...just common sense...well I thought it was common sense.

Now I would still research all that myself just to make sure it was all 100% true. Just cause it's a religious email doesn't mean it's true...a lot of these kinds of emails are all fabbed...
I really don't like these religious chain mails...gives everyone of that belief a bad name quit often. I really can't stand the "If you love God send this to x people" no if I love God then I love God...and I love my fellow believers enough not to harass them with crappy chain mail

Just skimmed over it...some of the stuff looks accurate but I'de have to probe a little deeper into some of the other claims...but I'm to lazy and it really isn't anything profound...so I'm not gonna bother

Hey racing solutions, THANK YOU for that...MUCH appreciated...that's a good example of giving people of a certain belief a bad name...stupid thing is just an attack on people who aren't Christians...I am a Christian and that's why I hate those stupid chain letters

I don't like what happend on 9/11 but that doesn't mean you should make up stuff about people...thanks again for posting the site there

...I found another site that points out fake chain letters...if I find it I'll post it up

Makes what up? Most of that is true. Do you think all of the stories in the bible took place in Australia, or Canada, or Mexico? NO

But I fail to see the point of that information.

Garden of Eden Information: "And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed" (Genesis 2:8). Then the majestic words become quite specific: "And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone. And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. And the name of the third river is Hiddekel [Tigris]: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates" (Genesis 2:10-14).

All the Babylon information is correct too

No, he was referring to the email itself, so no need to tell me to take it easy, k?

And you are correct, this is all dependant on what religion you are and what history you feel is correct.

uhm I think he meant "email stuff is all accurate" is a bull * statement...so easy there k?

On a side note off topic, not everyone who reads these posts are gonna be a Christian or believe the bible is accurate...so for them...posting a verse isn't gonna prove much to them. Good work on looking it up...I'm not trying to start a "is the bible true" debate (you'd be preaching to the pastor so yeah) just saying that for those who aren't Christians...they won't see the bible as a valid source of factual information...but still...props on the verse.
Just to put my two cents in...

Historical fact is historical fact. Historical data is proven through much research, archeaology and historical writers like Herodutus (*dotus) of events|times|people that had happened. The bible is an greatly accurate historical book, although it doesn't claim itself as such.
