    intake question

I just picked up an injen ram air intake from dragonhuntur. I had it installed in about half an hour, it sounds great. I'll post pics later. My question though, is there an adjustment period for the ecu? the reason i ask is becuase it was idling rough when i stopped at a couple of stop lights. It didn't stall or anything but it sounded like it wanted to. I double checked the connections and they were all good. Any info would be appreciated thanks.

has never stalled, always freaked me out though when it does, i checked everything, i even cleaned the MAF sensor with some eletric part cleaner and all i got was more power out of it. I noticed that it does it on hard braking or just randomly, but all u have to do is like either turn on the A/C for a sec or just tap on the gas and it brings it back to normal.... its odd, this is y my car annoys me, nothing ever goes right on it, always something diff about any mod

I'm now a believer that this car is not meant for mods at all.... on a civic or a accord everything works when u mod it, but wit the rolla there is always something that goes wrong or isn't compatible

soon as it gets alot warmer im' gonna take out my sparks and check them out, i replaced them at around 40,000, so thats roughly 15,000 on them right now, if they are black then i knwo they are runnign rich and i'll know wat the problem is with it

I wouldn't say that. My Rolla has responded pretty well to my "mods" of an intake and exhaust. It's not like it's fast, but I haven't had any problems with reliability either.

intake is so so right now cause of that stupid idle, i think its only the 8th gen with the VVTI and i think its cause of that MAF sensor, i swear it causes those problems, it has to be
exhaust wasn't a problem but most other things my car isn't right with, i want a RSX-S or sometin

I had the injen on my 01 too but I never have idle problem. But my car is auto, not manual.
Did you disconnect the battery and reset the ECU?

i know i haven't disconnected the batter. my keyless entry will need to be reprogrammed and i won't have the time to do that anytime soon so i was going to leave like that for a while. Is it something i should do though?

If you don't unhook the battery and reset the computer...it will adjust itself over a period of 500 or so miles...it will eventually get used to the extra air and compensate.
