Installing turbo

Ok so i dont have the tools or time to do it but XAT racing quoted me 1400 bucks to do it. My question, is that too much? seems like alot of hours for installtion ( 60/hr) thats almost 24hr's or work

actually that depends on the parts and fitment.

It took us 3-4 days to build an entire turbo system from scratch for my car - however that was doing a lot of the fab work on the fly. And that was also with 3-4 people working on it.

I'd say a day for pulling your exhaust system, mounting the turbo manifold, turbo, wastegate, oil lines and fixing your exhaust system back up to match your downpipe.

Then another day for getting your intercooler piping all correct. (if its not a prefabbed kit)

Then allow that third day for possible problems and testing if the IC piping took too much time the second day.

--

It's VERY possible for it to take 3 days. If they said a week, yeah I'd be a little suspicious, but 3 days is allowing them time to breath. Don't expect too much more than that unless you have an entire crew working on your ride.
