Will that really let me get to the inside of the A pillar where the radio antenna is? It seems like there would be more I have to do. I really don't know, but if that works, then i'll be happy.

    Installing a new radio antenna

So my stock antenna was broken when I bought my car and I just recently got around to trying to fix it.

I bought an antenna and am now half way through the install, except I can't figure out a way to get the new antenna's wire down through the driver's side A pillar to underneath the dash/instrument cluster area where I can connect it to another wire that goes to the radio.

How in the hell do I get these two wires connected? Will I have to remove the whole dash, cause that's what it seems like at this point.

The pillar pops off. Just like you are installing the gauge pillar, you should be able to grap the top, and pull it off. I have a 98 and I know that's how it is on that one.

I took the plastic interior A pillar cover off, but it turns out there's a layer of steel between it and the exterior part off the A pillar, which is where the antenna is.

Sooo... I drilled a hole in the piece of steel, which was alot easier than I thought it would be, and brought the antenna wire into the car that way. The wire fits under the plastic A pillar cover. The hole I drilled was kinda big, so I used caulk to seal it up. Hopefully that will stay.

I'll take a pic so people can see how I did it and post it later tonight.
