Crutchfield is selling that for $399 or so.
For the price $400, I would get a decent amp with a decent sub, and it will sound a lot better. :D

They sell for $150 on ebay!

They're ok, portable, no mess units. They're okay overall..

$150!? That’s the price of only the sub. Without box or amp!
    That’s a real good price!!
You might be able to get 10” Infinity Kappa Perfect, JL 10W6, or Alpine Type-R for $150, but that might still be hard to get that much of a deal.
    You should get that one.
If you get tired of it or want to get something else, you still should be able to sell it for the similar price. :D

I think as a supplement to the factory stereo it's pretty good. That's really what it's designed to be. I bought one for precisely that reason. I changed all the speakers and installed the basslink. A few month later I put in a power amp (4x50) to power the main speakers - the basslink can't keep up with them. At low volumes it's pretty good. When you turn it up, the bass magically disappears and the basslink's servo limit light is on pretty much all the time.

For a sub to keep up with 50w rms x 4 speakers, I think you need about 250w rms sub?
    I have 30w rms x 4 and 150 w rms sub.
When I turn the music loud, then the sub is not loud enough compared to the other speakers. :(

Fosgate sells bass tubes with true subs, unlike the Bazooka jokes or the baselink... Keep in mind also you can have a shop build you a decent downfire setup if you want the bass to just fill and not be loud... My personal preference in a trunk though is vented as it sounds best with minimal sub and power!

I'm changing my mind on this one a bit. After relocating it to the rear corner of the trunk and setting the cutoff frequency to 50 Hz, it's doing much better. It's a nice clean bass, but it's not going to shake the car. If you really need your trunk space (like I do) it's not a bad option. The next step is to mount it vertically...

Cool, but before you mount it, make sure it's ok to put it vertically. Sometimes it works better whiling facing the cornor.

It's the one of the best powered subwoofer so far. If you don't want to install a whole system and desire some more clean bass, I think that's the product you should go for.

yea moving ur sub to the back dramatically incerases the sound of the bass.. its what i noticed atleast.. but it got kinda too loud for my tastes and i moved mine back to against the rear seat.

I like it for what it is. I need the trunk space and I need to be able to fold down the seats quite often. Of the stand alone subs on the market, this one seems to be the best. I you want the thumping to be heard two blocks away, then this isn't what you want. The bass is very smooth and clean. It's not punchy. It also depends what price you can find it for. I bought it at a local shop so I paid more than I could have.
