    I'm not having good luck...

So last week, 2 days after installing my JDM headlights, I get into a minor fender bender. It was raining and I skidded on my so called "rain" tires into the back of an e30 3-series. No visible damage to the bimmer except for small scratches, so the guy tells me not to worry about it.

Luckily, the lights were completely intact for the most part. The left headlight housing cracked at the mounts, but it's nothing I can't fix with glue. The left corner broke it's arm off and went flying into the back of the BMW. The lens didn't break and didn't have a scratch on it, luckily, so I just glued the arm back together secured it with a zip tie..

Bad news: the bumper support must be bent, because the left side of the bumper sits higher than the right. Also, the radiator support was bent slightly backwards, so the corner can't screw into the headlights properly. No serious damage beyond that, from what I can tell.

Long story short, I should have never been driving with the corner not fully secured. It had been fine in the week since the accident, but today on the highway it flew off. I know approxometely where it is, but I'm going to have to wait until tomorrow morning when it's light out to go look for it. I figure if it's in the road, it would have been crushed by the time I could loop around on the highway. I was in the left lane, so hopefully it's on the side of the road somewhere.

I thought to myself it was going to be hard to get replacement parts for these lights.... I guess I'm about to find out.... :(

Went out on the highway and found the light in one piece... :) It's not even scratched and when it flew off I was doing about 90.

Guess I'm a little lucky afterall...
