    ignition wire problem?

so i got an 02 corolla and am running an sound system. while i was driving on the highway the deck happened to turn off, and wouldn't turn on after. later in the day i discovered that the car lighter wasn't working, even with the key in the on position.

after checking the fuses, all seemed to be fine so i check the voltage for the ignition wire, at the back of the deck with the key in the on position, and got nothing. i then checked the battery wire leading to the deck and was getting 12 volts. now this leads me to believe that i'm having an problem with the ignition wire circuit maybe, although i could also be very wrong. my dome light still works, and that was the fuse i fried when hooking up my deck, so that was partly why i'm lead to believe it's an ignition problem.
i was just wondering if anyone had any tips or ideas.

    Thanks alot

HOw did you install your deck ? THe same thing happend to me to. While installing the deck..while the CD player was running.....one of the wires came loose, the complete system shut down. Jus check the wiring from the stock harness to the deck.
