If you've had the CEL with the CAI, then read this...

Those of you who have a CAI and have had the check engine light - where do you live?

I'm thinking elevation may have something to do with it. I'm @ about 1700 ft. right here. I'd assume that lower elevations may see the CEL more commonly than high elevations b/c of air density? Maybe - just a thought...

I dont really think elevation has to do with it. The ECU takes a preasure reading every time you start your car, and addjusts it's self for your altitude.

I live somewhere arround 4,500 feet. I think the highest my car has ever been is arround 9,900 feet.

I have the TRD CAI and got the CEL for a while when i first got it, i kept resetting the ECU (diconnect/recnnect battery) and it kept comming back the next day so i said piss on it and the CEL finally went away by its self about a week or so later. Every once in a while the CEL comes back but i just leave it and it will go away on its own after a day or so. I noticed that the CEL would come on if i let the car idle for a while, like 10 or 15 minutes of idleing, then i would get back in and notice a little later that the CEL was on. But it seemed like if i didnt let it idle for long it wouldnt come on most of the time. And yes all my hoses and VSV are hooked up correctly.
