    idle - rpm increases

are u guys having the following problems???
when idle and warmed the rpm on my car marks 750. now, if i just turn (a really few degrees) the steering wheel the rpm goes up to 1100.
also, without touching anything and nothing on (stop lights, radio, heating, ac, etc), i have noticed that the rpm goes up (around 1100) and then back to 750. is this happening to you???

That makes sense. When you turn the steering wheel, the power steering kicks in, and tries to turn your tires. Since you are moving... the tires aren't going anywhere very easily, so the power steering tries to work harder. In order to compensate for the increased demand for power, the engine revs higher. As far as the engine fluctuating at idle, mine does that too... I could speculate on why, but I would probably be wrong, so I'm not gonna try.

I've noticed the problem mostly when I'm warming the car up. I've got the blower at full, and the rear defroster going, so I'm using a lot of energy. The engine revs higher when it senses that the voltage drops too low (the faster the engine revs, the faster the alternator spins). So the car alters its RPMs to adjust the voltage.

I don't really care what my RPM reads out. As long as the RPM is at the right range at idle to prevent stalling. I noticed ever since the supercharger install, the car gives a sudden jerk forward just as I step on the gas from stop to go. I love it. Stomp on it harder and you can feel the torque push the car forward leaving tread marks. Every gear you shift, the tires peel like crazy at lift. I love it. Ver easy to spin out.

The next thing I want to do is putting in a boost gauge. I could really use one of those. They make them for the Tacomas, but not the Corolla (TRD). Don't have the money or resources to pursue that yet. Supercharger drained my savings.
