    Idle prob.

I have an idle prob. on my 04 corolla. i have cleaned my mass airflow and put new spark plugs in. Twice it has set, code # Po133. My oxygen sensor is good. My friend thinks i need a chip since i have a cold air intake, header, and full exhaust. Thanks

whats up, i have a good idea for you to try and it works . how about you clean the throttle body , if the butterfly door in the throttle housing is gummed up then it will not open up all the way and sometimes will not close properly and this will 90% of the time cause a rough idle problem ,let me know if that fixes your prob.

also the proper way to clean it is with a soft bristle tooth brush and some throttle body cleaner , but whatever you do , do not use a wire brush.

Thanks a lot toyotuner24, u where right! Even though it look cleaned there was crud around the metal lip where the butterfly door sits when it is closed. The tooth brush was the key! I cleaned it this evening and took a little spin down the road and it ran great! Thanks again and have a good one!

My idle prob came back! Everything that I have done has helped but then it comes back. A friend told me I should clean my idle motor aka idle air control valve. It is under the throttle body but is has 2 special screw heads. They are the shape of a 5 point star. I have tried everything I could think of but no luck. My friend that is a mechanic asked around but had no luck also. So if anyone could help out that would be great!
