I was checking out these rims....

I was checking out these rims....

and something just caught my attention...for every increase of the Tire Width and Sidewall Ratio the price increases!!

Also i checked out the info page for tire size calculator....and everytime you increase these your speed also increases??

hmmmm...so does this mean the wider your tire and the higher your sidewall ratio the better performance you'll get??.....

Nope, the speed from the tire size calculator is what your speedometer will say with those particular tires, when you'll really be going 60 mph

so it's not referring to the actual speed of the car just the speedometer itself??

Bigger tires will also make you accelerate slower, unless you change the gearing in your transmission to accomidate a diffrent tire size.

Big tires would give you a higher top speed, but slower acceleration.
Smaller tires will give you lower top speed, but faster acceleration.

When you get new tires/wheels, try to get tires that have the same diameter as the stock tires. You probably wont get it to match perfect, but get as close as you can. That will also help keep your speedometer and odometer more accurate.

so what do you think is the good size of tire for a 17" wheels?
also i'm look for wheels with an average weight....any recomendations?? thankx.

If u have an S or LE the recommended size tire for 17s are :225/45/17
or if u have a CE the recommended size tire for 17s are :215/45/17
