As you all know, I'm selling my old HID kit. I posted an ad on Craigslist and I get a response from someone who wants to buy it. This is his email message.

Thanks for your mail and like i said i am interested in the item and i will be paying for this with a Certified Bank Check and after u confirm that you get Certified Bank Check. i will send my shipper over for the pickup of the item.. if you are ok with this pls get back to me with your Contact Address and Phone Number.... also the Payee Name that will be on Certified Bank Check. I do hope to have this information asap. And do keep other buyers off.

Ok, so I posted this as a local pickup ad. And the 832 area code of his phone number is in Houston, Texas. RED FLAG #1 He's paying with a "Certified Bank Check". RED FLAG #2 The spelling and grammar are off which don't strike me as a serious business proposal. RED FLAG #3 A third party is being used instead of having me ship it directly.RED FLAG #4

DUDE, get the money first, make sure it clears, and then ship off the item with insurance, once it's shipped, it's out of your hands. make him pay for insurance.

I got other buyers that want it so I'm selling it elsewhere. I'll just play along with him for a while. Damn scammer. Scam the scammer.
