I know it's been done before but...

STi vs. Evo Which does everyone pick. There are some new complications to the matter. Mitsu is having some corparte problems, but there is the plan for the realease of the evo MR. Subaru just released it's 05s with changes and plan a complete revamp for 06. I'm partial to the STi, but would not say no to an evo.

    STi.

mitsu's future looks bleak...i'd rather have a car that will have a more certain manufacturer backing.

STi. Has more potential for big hp. Better Interior. Better sounding engine. A Stable manufacturer and 6 short gears for crazy acceleration.

the thing about the evo is that it has the same interior as the lancer...minus the sports seats. thats kinda whack. at least make it look a bit better than the lower class model.

A stock STI from the factory doesn't come with radio. The radio is an option.

I could see how it can with the 2.5L displacement. But the 4G63 does have potential for big HP as well.

for around the same price the STi is a better platform. Wat dealer would stock an STi without a radio? Besides who cares? Who keeps their stock radio anyways?

Well then if that's the case, aftermarket support for the DSM's should've died down.

It doesn't matter if it has a 2.5L. Although yes you'll have more displacement to work with, but the 4G63 has been known to be a powerful engine that could handle more than 400HP on stock internals. It's like saying the 2JZ-GTE is better than the RB26DETT because of the bigger displacement when in fact both engines can be equally as good. A 5-speed tranny can be equally efficient as a 6-speed. It all depends on how it's geared. And whether or not Mitsu dies out, there's still going to be aftermarket companies making parts.

yep the 4g63 has been around for what 14 years now. Lots of aftermarket support. Also 6 gears means more shifts, and shifts take time away.

Mitsu is a huge corporate entity that goes beyond their car division, it won't die that easily.

Their CAR divison mite. Think about it tho. Why would u buy a car that's company's future is unknown, when u can get an Sti for the same price. Subaru makes good cars...Mitsu doesnt.

get me an STi and u can have your Evo. Dont get me wrong id take both but if i was payin my hard earned money for a ride...id get the Sti. More goes into car buying than jus performance of the the car.
