    I Have A Question

I know someone who has a 3000gt and the other day after driving on the freeway he got home and noticed there was tranny fluid all over the place. After taking it to the dealer and leaving it there overnight they told him it was nothing and that his car was 100% ok. Is it possible for tranny to build up enough pressure to push fluid up through the dipstick? Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

Well if it was not just a case of over filling, then there is probably a problem with the torque converter. Unfortunately, the only way to tell is to take it off. I had the same problem with my 95 Trans Am, dealership kept telling me that the car was ok even though tranny fluid was spewing out of it if I drove the car hard or for too long. Eventually I couldn't get the car to hold tranny fluid at all, took it back to the dealership, they took apart the tranny and found out that the torque converter had gone bad. This was after they told me the car was fine 6 other times. You might want to have this checked before he ruins his whole transmission.

Well he took it to the dealership and they had it there like overnight and they told him the car was 100% fine...but we're still kinda worried cuz ur car doesn't leak tranny fluid for no reason yknow? There also weren't any recalls so I'll see if we look into the whole torque converter thing you were talking about. Thanks a lot guys for your help!! Any other input is greatly appreciated :)

Edit: The recall was for twin turbos
