    I got my Tom's Lip/Body Kit today

saw a listing on craigslist yesterday and i realized oh shit it's the tom's kit, went to pick it up in the morning today for $150 total.
the only disappointment is that this is a replica made out of fiberglass, and it's unpainted. So fitment will suck...and there will be more money out of my pocket for painting.

I'm thinking of removing my current bumper w/ the lip and slap on the Tom's bumper...but keep my TRD Valences & Sideskirts
my current bumper and Tom's Sideskirts & Tom's Rear Lip will probably be sold if anyone is interested. (I prefer Local Pickup only, I live in LA area)

Hey, when you do switch the front bumper, would you sell the front stock bumper with the lip attached. Yes, I know I have the front lip already, but my stock bumper is all beat to hell. And then I wouldn't have to reinstall the lip again. :D Then I can have two lips to play with. (Don't think dirty. LOL :D) I can also do a trade with you and pay whatever difference you think is good.

    nice find.

But they're all replicas since Japans don't have the USDM ZZE110 body. Also even the real Tom's kit is fiberglass.

I dont think I remember erebuni ever having Tom's. The Tom's replicas are all made in Taiwan.. theres still a few sites that you can get them from. But I do remember back then there were a Tom's/TRD site that carried the authentic Tom's kit for the 7th gen. They quoted me at about $1700-1800.. which wasn't TOO bad considering back then the TRD/Molly Design kit for the 8th gen sold for that price.

But real or replica IMO the Tom's kit is one of the cleanest kit you can get for the rollas.

He's got a For Sale Thread going about this. Please keep sale discussion over there. I've merged posts and closed this one down. Thanks all. :)

Reopening due to people wanting to talk about the kit.

One word about his the sale that's not in the sale thread and it's re-lock time. :)

is that your car? do you pay to keep it on the road? there comes a point in time where you should stand up on your own two feet. that tom's kit fg or not is really really hard to come by. like i said before your silly to let it go so easily...lol

no, they just think i dunno what im doing and i guess cant imagine how the front bumper will look like onto the car, since the quality of it looks pretty cheap and with all those nonstraight nails in the back and the unpaintedness and crap

yea, thats what I tell all my buddies to do.. they'll eventually break their parents spirit and the parents end up not giving a fu*k. I mean its your car and your monies, plus its not hurting anyone. I mean c'mon they got to understand just about EVERY hobby is a waste of money, but if it makes you happy that's what life is about. My mom don't care but my dad always tell me i'm wasting my time and money when he see me working on my car.

Those "nonstraight nails in the back" are supposed to be there to hold the grille mesh in. You put the mesh on and bend the "nails" to hold the mesh.

lol...which reminds me...i have mesh grills..it came with the bumper, but i dont know about putting them on...mesh grills tend to change its shape over time because its not very strong

if i do put the mesh grills on i'll paint it black...i mean..if i had a choice i would put no grill at all, but that would look weird closeup and probably not a good idea to leave a giant gap there.
