The hard top is EXPENSIVE!! I'll probably put on a few light mods for now. Nothing major. This weekedn will prolly be rims and some tint...it already has enough "go fast" for now. This car is so much fun I llok for reason to drive now. I LOVE my morning and evening commute!!

u know wats weird, that mr2 has the same engine as rollas but tuned defferently, but it has soo many more parts to it, at least they got cold air intakes for those things, we don't, well not the 8th gen ones at least

That is what I was wondering about dude, like in the hassturbo website they have an mr2 that runs like 11.2 and stuff on a stage II turbo and what not and I wonder..... well if it's a 1zz then how come corollas can't get there?..... is it cause it's a RWD set up or something? I've always wondered.

I was wondering the same about the engine with the corolla...I drive my corolla and then get into the MR2 and I wonder why the corolla 1zz is NOTHING like the MR2 1zz...it goes waaaaaaay faster and it sounds 100x better and it is still stock. I love the sound as I take it up in the RPM's...it's absolutely beautiful...I do want to turbo it but that won't be for a while. I can only imagine the power it will have when i get that done. For right now I think I am just going to do some small things. First things will be rims and tint then some minor bolt ons for a while until I save the cash for some real power mods!! Oh yea...MIDENGINE AND RWD KICKS ASS!!!!!!!!!

Hardtop is like 2-3K new painted imported from japan. definately a worthwild mod to make the car more agressive.. Make sure you dont cheap out on the suspension or wheels for her, it'd be a sacreliege.

mr2's are so freakin light whenever one comes in I can just put it in neutral and push it around no problem..AH HA HA...so light.

Really fun cars...the second gen is prime for 6cyl swaps :D

Glad you got your dream car! It's always a joyous occasion when that happens..feeling the loooove....Congrats on the purchase!!!

    Why put a 6cyl in when a 3SGTE fits perfectly? :p

MR jumps up off the line incredibly well - back when the Mk1 s/c auto came out, it was the fastest production car from 0-30mph - just with a 4AGZE.

It's because MRS is so much lighter than corolla! I think MRS is under 2300lbs or something like that. The engine sounds so much better coz it's just sit at your back!! Zoom Zoom zoom~~~~~.
