first of all stop typing in all caps and your 40's early, mids or late just wondering.anyways adding aftermarket parts to your car will not save you gas but will add a descent hp,if you want serious hp go turbo but idk about age if it will take that kind of hp.trd supercharger should give you better hp with those blot on parts.

Since you're in 40's and you own 2 other nice car, I guess $$ is not a big problem to you.
As xplicitcorolla99 said, TRD supercharger is good, it will give you lots more power than anything muffler and intake can give you. But I dunno if it will fit 05 since it's DBW.

I love economy so I used to try to make mycar as economical as possible. I did these mods to my corolla.

    - K&N filter
    - Sun Auto Grounding Wires
    - Sun Auto HG Fuel Regulator
    - Sun Auto Hot Inazma Eco
    - Tokico HP Struts
    - kept tires at 34psi.

and all in all I gained a decent amount of gas mileage. When I first bought the car, I was getting about 22-23 miles a gallon (which technically sucks in a corolla.) after all the upgrades, I was getting a good 30-32 miles a gallon average. still not as good but a great improvement. (oh yeah I also loved to punch the gas pedal which isnt all that great for economy either) :)
